window 2, puddles, yew

Posted by PicasaOpen.
.
Sunshine after heavy rain. Puddles as bright as mirrors, reflect a blue sky and the red and golden leaves of trees. The road opens to reveal another world underground.
.
Under the yew tree on the corner of Eden Road and Mount Sion is a carpet of scarlet berries so thick that you can scarcely see the ground beneath it. It crunches under foot and soaked by the rain become as slippery as jelly.

How pregnant, how portentous that open window. Anything might happen.

I miss lead-light windows.

BB I'm glad you think that because I nearly didn't include the photograph, though my feelings about it coincide with yours.

h I've never lived in a house with leaded windows and I am not sure that I would like to very much. But they do look good from the outside emphasising the mystery attendant upon window looked in upon.
