Puddle, phalarope and lamb sausages.

Not drowning but waving. Plastic bag in puddle from the archive.

In the early hours of the morning I learn from the radio that the red necked phalalrope, a bird smaller than a starling, has been shown can fly from Scotland across the Pacific to the coast of Peru.
Such facts are soothing.

In Sainsbury's this morning  minced lamb. Tonight little sausages made with the lamb, coriander, pine kernels and coriander.

Curiously similar image to ones I posted today!

Aren't birds amazing!? Those tiny creatures have so much strength and an inner navigation system to travel so far ( and back) every year! Puts humans to shame in a way.

Hummingbirds amaze me,too. So tiny and yet they make it back and forth from South America to the Midwest every year.
