penny royal, chattering, martins

Posted by PicasaA member of the mint family, penny royal has a flavour too strong for culinary purposes. Its scent is powerful. Close up, it looks more interesting than at a distance.

The sound of a keyboard chattering to itself in an office of which the door is half open is a reassuring
sign of a presence within.

I look up from the garden to see the grey sky busy with swallows. They are flying quite high and one would imagine getting ready to forsake this cold summer for something warmer.

This post suggests to me the quality of a haiku - each of its three sections forming images that play obliquely against each other. A seasonal theme of late Summer and just the right photo to go with it.
