aerial forecast great tit

Posted by Picasa Today's crow on the mast.

Sunny all day today as forecast. Yesterday it was bright in the morning with rain forecast for early afternoon. In the afternoon I am sitting by the window reading when the  rain begins to tap against the glass and the drops to trickle down. On time I think.  I amcoming  round to believing the forecasters.

In the garden today I hear the two-tone call of a great tit. I pull out my camera. I must careful. A couple of years ago I aimed my  camera at the sound of a great tit and the photograph which I took turned out to be of blue tit.

I know I've said so before, but it bears repeating: you take some of the best crow (and other wildlife) photos I've seen.

Thank you for this one, Joe

Had to use the car yesterday and the external temperature display registered 17.5 deg C. Initially I welcomed the warmth, then was irritated by it. I was dressed for winter (as I always am between November and April) and I found myself sweating. More than that I knew I would rapidly be betrayed.

And there are some very tedious ornithological pedants around who'll jump on you for things like that...

Crow Thank you, but part of the credit at least should go to a compact camera which combines an excellent lense with a 16x opticsl zoom.

L d P Unseasonal weather is always a little disturbing even when it appears benign.

Ah, Lucy, I know. The odd thing was that on that occasion I uploaded the photograph and failed to examine it, so sure was I that the song alone had identified the bird. A warning against impatience and the absence of deliberation.
