I'm a bit inspired by your photographs Marja-leena, and Lucy's too. These are all photographs of cracks and corners which I pass every day. It seems to me that there are shapes and potential animations everywhere if you look close enough. The top right photo is an ventilation-grid in the wall of an old house which I walk past regularly. I often envy you the water and the wild on your doorstep but it is nice to be able to spot items of similar interest in an urban setting.
'We live amid surfaces, and the true art of life is to skate well on them' said Emerson. This quote was in the book from a photo expo I saw in Lannion the other day, which left a great impression on me, so this is synchronicitous!
It's a wonderful collage; townscapes offer so much variety.

This looked like it was fun to do! The top middle and right ones intrigue me.

Thanks for that quote, Lucy. I shall copy it using pen and paper. I have always thought that Emerson deserved close attention.
