Fence, tidiness and tangerine clouds

On the fence.

Present circumstances is prompting the tidiness bug which has invaded me. Before I start cooking the kitchen must be clean and everything in its place. The floor must be clear of crumbs. The problem remains that bending is still a problem as I hobble about the house and for some reason remember my aged grandmother whom  I  now realise was of a like mind.

A tangerine sky when I raise the blind the other morning. The wind blows white and orange clouds past the window.

Great capture of the squirrel!

I could never cook in a messy kitchen. A clean kitchen helps clear the mind to focus on the most important job.

I'm struck by the way the squirrel's back feet grip the fence.

This nasty winter seems reminiscent of those from my childhood (i am 67) and the mildish ones over the last couple of decades the abberation. Since the ice storm, prior to Christmas, i have been diligent about feeding the birds.....chickadees, blue jays, cardinals, juncos, doves, finches and sparrows are constant. The bunny, a raccoon, a skunk and three kinds of squirrels also visit. Your little grey is a different species than the ones we have. It has been only a degree or two above -23 Celsius with a bitter wind today. I made vegetable soup in my almost-tidy kitchen. Oue teeth are chattering all across this big country of Canada. We're earning our wintry reputation.
