For the lentils I prepare today for daughter Pippa I find some fresh turmeric which I chop up small and use instead of the powdered stuff recommended. The house is infused with a its invigorating scent.
I have never seen The Sound of Music. And I don't think I want to.

I am truly quite impressed that you have lived through the times that you have and succeeded in not seeing The Sound of Music. Bravo!
The pied wagtail and the squirrel are great pictures that, without being anthropomorphic, catch creatures at moments when their commonality with people shows through.

Well, I'll put my foot in and say The Sound of Music is a favourite of mine, especially the music.
I haven't seen SoM either. Do you think that's what sealed our acquaintanceship?
I've not seen the SoM either. I hear there aren't any interesting beer drinking scenes.
